DETAILS
This is a hybrid role based in New York City. You will mostly work remotely, but you'll be expected to come in person for events and content creation days, which could happen once or twice a week during busy periods. Immediate start, 6 month contract with a view to extend to a permanent full time position for the right person. Some domestic travel will be required, up to 5-6 times per year.

OVERVIEW
Female Founder World sits at the intersection of content, community and experiences to build the platform fueling the growth of a rising generation of entrepreneurs.

We are looking for a New York-based Event and Programming Lead to own the end-to-end management of all Female Founder World live experiences, from large-scale conferences to intimate dinners and relaxed coffee shop coworking meetups, and virtual workshops.

This role ensures that every Female Founder World experience, partnership and program is impeccably organized, visually elevated, brand-aligned, and executed to the highest standards, both across partner/vendor communication and final creative execution on an event day.

You will work directly with the founder and CEO, and collaborate with a team of contractors and freelancers across timezones—including editorial contractors, the event producer, and the graphic designer—to ensure everyone delivers project contributions on time and to the highest standard.

    • Create visually elevated and brand-aligned events and digital programs that deliver on our promise to provide connection, inspiration, and clarity for the rising generation of business owners

    • As the operational lead, you will own and plan Female Founder World's annual, 1,000-person Summit in New York City

    • Own and plan ongoing IRL event experiences including founder dinners, coffee shop coworking meetups, live podcast recordings, and speed networking nights

    • Manage a six-figure budget

    • Collaborate with the partnership manager, event producer, talent, and designers to ensure we’re meeting sponsor activations

    • Communicate clearly and regularly with vendors, venues, sponsors, Team FFW, and other stakeholders

    • Manage project plans and schedules and communicate updates

    • Source and manage vendors alongside our event producer

    • Be on-site during events to oversee load in and out

    • Deliver post-event analytics for sponsors and Team FFW

    • Build out the Coffee Shop Coworking event series for FFW members with ambassadors and city leads

    • Project manage partnership schedules

    • Have a roll-up-your-sleeves mentality. When it comes to live events, we all do what it takes to make sure the show goes on

    • Are genuinely obsessed with startups, investing, internet culture, and brands

    • Have experience leading and project managing large-scale events (400+ people) with six-figure budget, but know how to leverage partnerships and contra deals to pull together meetups and smaller community moments with little budget

    • Thrive in startup environments, pivot when needed, and move quickly without needing constant direction

    • Are highly organized and live-and-breathe your project management spreadsheets

    • Are an excellent communicator and know how to keep sponsors, talent, vendors, and the internal team up-to-date on deadlines and deliverables

    • We don’t wait to be told what to do. High agency isn’t a nice-to-have, it’s a must. We own outcomes, not tasks, and we'd rather you try something and course-correct than wait around to be told what to do.

    • We’re obsessed with startups, brands, and business. We're all genuinely obsessed with startups, investing, brands, internet culture and entrepreneurship, and we love to yap about what's happening in the world of business and culture.

    • We’re adaptable. We’re merging startups with live events, two highly unpredictable categories. In our world, the situation changes often and we’re comfortable adapting and shifting plans to meet new challenges. FFW isn’t a fit for anyone who is uncomfortable with change and newness.

    • We own the outcome. Everyone here is great at what they do, constantly learning and striving to be better at their craft, and takes full ownership of their work and its impact. We will give you plenty of opportunities to create career-defining work, and expect you to rise to it.

    • We over communicate. Working remotely means things can get missed in the deluge of emails and Slack messages. We make sure the important updates get through to the right people and expectations are set early and regularly. We deliver bad news quickly and honestly. There’s no blame or ego, we’re honest with each other and those in our community who trust us with their money, time and reputations.

    • Trust is the currency here. The team is small and remote, the mission is outsized, and every person carries genuine responsibility to own their outcomes and do what they say they’ll do. We won’t hover or micromanage. We’ll trust you. Don’t make us regret it.
